Harry carried two bouquets of calla lilies in his hand as he strode up to the store. The events of the previous night weighed on him, but he was determined to push them aside. Tonight he was meeting Daphne's family, and he wanted nothing to ruin it for her, least of all his inability to separate his work and personal life. He felt almost guilty for cutting out on the Hunters, but Jaden hadn't minded. Harry had stayed up all the previous night with the injured, after all, and had helped Hermione heal those that they could help. One man had been hit by a curse that they hadn't identified in time, however, and he had died just before dawn.

None of that now, Harry. You get to spend the evening in the company of a beautiful witch. With that thought, he entered the shop with a large, genuine smile.

Three hours after the meeting Draco walked down a street fingering the piece of paper in his pocket. He knew that the Hunters would still be waiting. Probably smirking with each passing minute, sure that he was backing out. They could not be more wrong. What he had been taught and heard time and time again in the Death Eaters was to plan for maximum affect. He had never thought he would put it voluntarily into practice.

Josh paced the room. They weren't in his living room like the meetings for the inner circle but rather a room he had booked under an alias at the Leaky Cauldron with Carrie's help. There was only going to be five people attending the meeting: Josh and Carrie from the inner circle, Eric Bachelor and Evan Lance from the lower ranks, and then, of course, the guest of honor, Draco Malfoy. This meeting was supposed to be Malfoy's "welcome" meeting and Josh felt anxious at the prospect of Malfoy becoming a member of the Hunters. He was anxious at the prospect of most people becoming Hunters.

It had been a bad few weeks. Ever since the party and Order meeting at Alicia Spinnet's estate, Ginny had found herself in a mood that was only growing worse. She had smiled and nodded her acceptance of Malfoy's involvement with the Order and no one caught her out at her falseness. She had gotten very good at schooling her features into a controlled visage. Inwardly, she had decided to test him herself. He would have to prove himself worthy, just like everyone else in the Order had had to. Harry wasn't dumb, and she trusted him, but she wasn't the type to blindly follow. The days had found her growing more and more annoyed with her lack of knowledge as to why Draco Malfoy would want to be involved in the Order's business, and she had worked herself into a right temper about the whole thing. There were other reasons she wanted to visit Malfoy, but those were being ignored for the moment.

Oliver straightened his jacket as he waited on the door step. 'Get a grip,' he told himself. He was, it appeared, a little nervous behind his easy smile. It was different coming to Ali thinking of something more than a friend. Despite Angie's encouragement, there was still a faint 'but what if she doesn't' and 'what if it wrecks a friendship'.

Spiffy opened the door. "You is not being Master Malfoy," she accused.

The Purple Lotus was empty. Daphne sighed with an expected boredom, leaving back against the counter and surveying her store. It wasn't often she got to appreciate her hard work during the day without customers walking around. For some reason, today was a slow day and Daphne certainly didn't mind, happy to be able to get work done without stopping to assist and welcome customers. She had put task off all day yesterday, and without customers as an excuse, she had to do it. Taking a deep, steady breath, she walked to the back of the store, through the beaded curtain and sat down at her table.

Harry,

Christian and Amy said they'd love to have you over for dinner. They suggest Sunday night, but if you cannot make it just let me know and tell us a day you can make it.

Yours,
Daphne

Oliver strode through the Redknock's locker room towards the Captain's office. Knocking three times, he waited. He had put off this visit far too long already, and he was not going to keep letting himself make excuses.

Angelina knew the knock and, after a startled moment where she looked blankly down at her signed contract on the desk, she got up and opened the door. "Oliver," she said and gestured him in. "I...wow, I wasn't sure I expected you to come here."

Josh stepped off the lift, wanting nothing more than to not go into the meeting. It was ridiculous since one day he'd be the Minister all this silly talk of cohabitation would be for naught. Shaking his head, he glanced at his watch. He was early, like always, like he had planned. He wanted a lay of the land before he actually engaged in the useless meeting and even more than that he wanted to see if he could get a word in with the Minister of Magic before the meeting actually began. Anything to show his loyalty and ambition even if it was to someone who wouldn't matter in the end.

Harry pushed open the door to the Purple Lotus. He'd been wanting to see Daphne for ages, but hadn't been able to get away from patrols. He had had to tell Jaden that he had a girlfriend in order to get the evening off. Paranoia had been increasing dramatically since the last attacks, and nearly everyone was patrolling every night.

But tonight Daphne had asked for him, and he'd had a good enough reason to get out of the patrol. He smiled as he saw her. I've missed her so much. The realization hit him and he strode over to her. "Hullo darling," he murmured, inhaling her scent as he kissed her softly. He loved her scent. It was essential oils and decidedly feminine and Daphne.
